My Experience in Colombia & What’s Next
Colombia confirmed things I was already feeling...
Colombia recap and update... let me tell you—this trip has been *everything*!
Eye-opening, inspiring, peaceful, and, of course, full of lessons. But before I dive into all the great things, let’s keep it real—I’m also going to share some things to watch out for.
First, traveling as someone who doesn’t speak Spanish fluently but can kind of understand it was an adventure in itself. If you’re American, trust me, they will *know*. Always stay on your P’s and Q’s, even in the best areas, because petty theft can happen if you’re not paying attention. That said, I still felt incredibly more safer here than the States. The vibe is unmatched.
Now, what really made this trip special? The *people*. I saw so many different Black women, It was amazing to witness women just being—living free, moving authentically, and not feeling rushed. It hit me hard just how different it is from Atlanta, where I live.
If you don’t know, Atlanta is very aesthetically driven. It’s all about the “look”. And as someone who prefers being at home, enjoying chill girls’ nights, and experiencing life rather than performing it.
Atlanta sometimes feels exhausting and this trip made me question if I’m really in the right city.
I realized I might be sacrificing my peace for business opportunities, and that’s not something I’m willing to do anymore. Atlanta, I don’t know how much time you have left with me, but your expiration date is coming.
Now, let’s talk about business and why you won't really see me work with people often.
One thing I’ve learned (and confirmed in Colombia) is that I move best alone. Too many people in business operate in a way that I just can’t align with—opportunists, backstabbers, and folks who will pretend to work with you just to play the game, Too many people operate with hidden agendas, only working together when it benefits them and not the actual community. I refuse to let my name be associated with it. If I work with someone, trust me, it’s because I trust them. Otherwise, my spirit says no, and that’s exactly what I’ll follow. If nothing else, let this be your reminder to trust your own intuition.
That’s why I’ve built Know Your Norm, for the woman who feels like she’s going through her journey alone. Who needs that support, that space where she can show up as herself without feeling like she has to prove anything.
Know Your Norm is a community of real women having real conversations, learning real things, and evolving into their best selves together. Because none of us should have to navigate womanhood alone.
Whew, now that I got that off my chest, update on the relationship front… Y’ALL. I feel like I came back from Colombia married. No, not actually, but this trip brought my partner and me so much closer together. I’m still floating on cloud nine, and I can’t wait to dive deeper into my past toxic relationships and how I delulu’d my way into something healthy in my next newsletter. Stay tuned because it’s going to be some true TEA TIME.
Now, let’s talk about the food
I am completely convinced that the U.S. is just trying to kill us with what they feed us. I have never tasted food so fresh in the states. The fruit? Unreal. The chicken? It wasn’t the size of my head! Everything was normal-sized, natural, and full of flavor.
But what really got me was the portion sizes. When you go out to eat in Colombia, you get a real portion-sized meal. Nothing supersized. And once you’re done eating, you feel full, content, and ready to go about your day—not sluggish and bloated like we do in the U.S. And I know it’s because they don’t fill their food with all the unnecessary antibiotics and chemicals. When I went to the supermarket, I noticed you can’t even buy in bulk because the food actually expires—which means it’s real food without all the extra preservatives.
And I already know once I get back, I’m going to taste the difference and be so mad. So, so mad Lol.
Also…..—drum roll, please! 🥁
I am so excited to officially announce that we are launching our very own Know Your Norm app!
We are launching the week of March 3rd, and this is going to change everything. I finally get to create a space where I can coach women without the insane price tag.
This is going give you access to every virtual class, 24/7 replays, and our new coaching group. Baby, it’s a recession! I know what it’s like to need a mentor, a community, a safe space—but not be able to afford it.
I remember what it felt like to stretch $20 for three weeks, trying to heal, but also trying not to get evicted (yea, I'll tell y'all about that in the next newsletter).
So, trust me, I got you. I want every woman to be able to rebuild herself, heal, create healthy relationships, and have the best sex of her life—without choosing between self-growth and a light bill.
Join our community today and get access to all past replays and upcoming classes before our official app drop!
I cannot wait to see you all inside!
XO,
Coco

Exciting Times !!
Our food.. why 😩
I feel you on the food! I was in Costa Rica recently and the fruit tastes 100 times better than in NYC. I thought I didn’t like papaya! Turns out it’s delicious when it’s super fresh! The pineapple! The bananas! It was all on some next level. I also consumed way less sugar than I do here at home and didn’t even miss it.
